Hamilton Suffers Tough Home Loss to Holland Christian

Holland Christian scored 5 runs on 5 hits in the first inning and never looked back.  Ethan Buresh settled down after the 1st inning and pitched through the 6th.  He tried valiantly to keep the Team within comeback distance, but on this night it was not meant to be.  He ended with 8 strikeouts and walked one batter in 6 innings of work.  The Hawkeyes got their only run in the 3rd inning on a one out walk to Elijah Walker, a Holland Christian error off the bat of Tommy Schreur, and then a single by Ethan Buresh to score Walker.  Hamilton could never get the bats going against Holland Christian pitcher Landon Brower.  Brower was in complete control as he struck out 9 batters, walked one, and only allowed 3 hits in the complete game victory.  The Hawkeyes need to regroup quickly as they travel to Byron Center on Friday to take on a tough League opponent.  The Teams overall record is now 5-4 and 3-4 in the OK Green.
