White picked for East/West showcase

HAMILTON, Mich. — Nathaniel White has been selected to play in the annual East/West High School All-Star game held at Comerica Park in Detroit.

The senior left-hander compiled an unbeaten 10-0 record through Friday as Hamilton’s No. 1 pitcher. White is the first player in history to represent the Hawkeyes at Comerica Park.

The game, which showcases the top 36 seniors from all classes in Michigan, will be played Tuesday, June 21 at 7 p.m.

White will join Holland Christian’s Grant VanPutten as the pair represents the O-K Green conference.

“Having two players from our conference is a great accomplishment,” Hamilton coach Ken DeGood said.
